A trusted adult in her corner

Sometimes girls will talk differently with someone who isn’t Mum, Dad, a teacher or part of the friendship group.

As a qualified teacher with more than 15 years’ experience working with young people, I provide a warm, non-judgemental space where girls can talk honestly about what is happening in their world.

Small-group mentoring for connection and confidence

She doesn’t have to figure everything out on her own.

Small-group mentoring gives girls something 1:1 support cannot: the chance to hear that other girls experience many of the same worries, friendship dynamics and confidence wobbles they do.

Groups can be created in two ways.

Bring your own group
A small friendship group of approximately 3–6 girls can attend together.

Join a group
Register your interest and I can place girls of a similar age and stage together when an appropriate group becomes available.

Sessions are facilitated so that conversation stays safe, respectful and constructive — while still feeling relaxed and relevant to the girls themselves.

90 minutes | from $45 per girl
Small groups of approximately 3–6 girls.

FOR TWEEN & TEEN GIRLS

Wellwise Girl Mentoring

1:1 support for friendships, confidence and growing up

Content:

Online | Face to Face

Sometimes a girl needs privacy, individual attention and someone outside her immediate family or school environment to talk things through with.

A Wellwise Girl Mentoring session gives her space to unpack what’s happening, understand how she feels and explore practical ways forward.

It might be friendship difficulties, feeling left out, body image, confidence, social media, boundaries, puberty or something that is simply feeling harder than usual.

The Mentoring Pathway gives us time to Understand, Practise & Strengthen making sense of what’s happening, trying practical tools and strategies, and building the confidence and self-trust she can carry forward.

This can work particularly well for ongoing friendship difficulties, confidence, body image, boundaries, social pressures or transition into high school.

The 3-session flow

1. Understand

The aim is to help her understand the situation more clearly, recognise her feelings and identify what is and isn’t within her control.

2. Practice

We explore practical tools, language and strategies she can use in real life.

This stage is about building confidence through doing, not just talking.

3. Strengthen

Build confidence she can carry forward.

We reflect on what’s working, what she’s learned about herself and what she wants to keep practising.

The goal is to strengthen her confidence, self-trust and ability to navigate similar situations more independently in the future.

For girls who would benefit from working through friendship, confidence and the challenges of growing up alongside others their own age.

Across three sessions, girls have time to build trust, explore what’s happening in their world, practise new ways of responding and learn from one another.

3 × 90-minute individual sessions | $300

$120 per girl for all three sessions

Meet Katrina Christian

Founder, Teacher & Menstrual Health Educator

Katrina is a qualified teacher, menstrual health educator, mother, speaker and facilitator with more than 15 years’ experience working with young people.

Her work began with menstrual wellbeing because so many girls and women were never given empowering, practical information about their bodies. Instead, many of us learnt to stay quiet, push through pain, feel embarrassed, or assume that suffering was just part of being female.

But this work has always been bigger than periods.

At its heart, Wellwise is about helping girls and women feel safe in their bodies, connected to themselves, and supported through the transitions that shape them; puberty, adolescence, body image, friendship changes, motherhood, perimenopause and the ongoing work of becoming who we really are.

My sessions are warm, honest, practical and grounded in lived experience, education and evidence-informed wellbeing.
